Kindergarten Program

The Killeen Street Kinder Program is a government-funded kindergarten program delivered within our nurturing long day care setting.

Our integrated 3- and 4-year-old program is thoughtfully designed to support children’s learning, wellbeing, and confidence during these important early years.

The program is led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and runs five days a week from 9:00am to 4:30pm during school terms, offering families consistency, flexibility, and high-quality early education.

The Kinder program is guided by Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF)

We proudly offer Free Kinder, meaning eligible families receive a $2,100 annual fee offset, applied as a $44.70  weekly (2026) reduction across 47 weeks of the year. This discount is automatically applied to your fees, helping to make kindergarten more accessible while your child enjoys a rich, play-based learning program that supports school readiness and lifelong learning.

As part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life initiative, 4-year-old kinder will gradually transition to Pre-Prep, increasing access to longer kindergarten hours.

From 2026, some children will be eligible for 22.5 hours of funded kinder per week as part of this phased rollout. This includes children who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, from a refugee background, or who are known to the Department.
